Driving Requirements

Under current UK law if you need glasses (or contact lenses) to meet the ‘standard of vision for driving’ you must wear them whenever you are driving - or you can be fined up to £1,000, receive 3 penalty points or be disqualified from driving.

Remember accidents can happen; try to have a spare back up pair in the car if you are reliant on your spectacles.  This is law when driving abroad and does not include a pair of sunglasses as these cannot be worn at night.
